Arren pushed through the double doors that lead to the mall. It was a great, big place full of things to do. There was a mini skate park, a small cinema, the food court, tons of shops, a waterfountain...And Frozen Yogurt! Her hair was down now, hanging to her upper back. She had her iPod Shuffle around her neck, one ear phone in her right ear, the other hanging. She had the song The Anthem by Good Charlotte playing loudly. The iPod cords somehow managed to entangle her dog tag, making them look like one. Arren was also trying to find a part-time job to keep her busy. She knew people who hung around the mall, and wasn't a stranger there. She had this odd habit of falling into the water fountain. It wasn't her fault, she just tripped. A lot. Last time some kid wearing Heelys had nearly run her over, so she stepped back and fell in. Thankfully she wasn't embarassed easily! She took a step on the escalator to the third floor. She strode straight to the Frozen Yogurt stand that had been spread out for some time near the food court. She stood in front of the stand, and pulled out her wallet, dropping a ten dollar bill on the cashier. "I'll have a banana-vanilla smoothie, please!" She said, and smiled as she was handed one. She took a slurp, and sighed. This was true bliss!

Currently sitting at a table, Sonny took a sip of his sprite, looking at the people around him. Everyone he knew seemed to be here but yet no one was coming up to him. Whatever. If they were going to ignore him then he could ignore them just as well. Taking another sip of his sprite, he rocked back on the two back legs of his metal chair. A smirk spread across his facewhen he spotted a couple people from school, though they didn't acknowledge him at all. A shrug and he slammed back down on all four legs, sighing and resting an elbow on the table, twisting the straw in his drink. Boredom. He plucked at the fraying strands of jean fabric in the hole in his girl pants. The light coat of eyeliner on his lower lid was wearing off. But oh well. He didn't really mind if no one was going to approach him.

Arren tossed her empty drink into a trash can, and ran a hand through her hair, now clearly bored. She saw people she knew, but all seemed busy. Then her blueberry blue eyes rested on Sonny. She had seen him, they weren't the best of friends, but she knew him. She decided to hang out with him for now. She walked towards him, and stood by a chair opposite him. "This seat taken?" She asked, a friendly tone to her voice. Her left hand fiddled with the chain that held her silver dog tag around her neck.

His turquoise-grey eyes looked around for a moment, still fiddling with the straw in his cup. But when Arren approached, he smiled at her and leaned back in his chair. "Be my guest," he said, motioning for her to sit. Sonny rocked back on the two back legs of his chair again, watching Arren's blue eyes with his own. Slamming forward, he took a sip of his sprite. Sonny folded his hands on the table and looked at Arren with his eyelined eyes. "So, what's up?" he asked, smirking at her a bit.
