Name: Dominique Defilippi (DEE-FILL-EH-PEE)
Gender: Female
Grade: Sophomore
Appearance: Dominique has a small frame, though she makes up for it with character and substance. She stands a mere 5'1", making her one of the shortest in her class. She is immediately recognized as strikingly muscular, especially for a girl, and can often be found keeping her own among the guys. She is Italian by heritage, and has a slightly darker than average complexion, with a noticable amount of freckles on her face and arms. Her hair is a silky and healthy jet black, which is stick straight from roots to ends. It is cropped short a few inches below her shoulders, and is always parted on the side. She has long bangs which hide her face from the world, dyed a light blonde. One can usually see her shaking her head intensely; she does not take any time on her hair and rarely brushes it, yet somehow it never gets tangled. Her eyes are a burning yellow, the most unique aspect of her appearance. They are close to orange, but can still easily be distinguished as yellow. They are large and thickly rimmed with eyeliner, giving her an exotic look. Her mouth is small, her lips average and usually turned upwards at the ends in a taunting smirk. A silver lip-ring glints brightly, put on the far right side of her mouth; it does not affect her talking. She wears a black short-sleeve shirt, loose enough to be comfortable, but fitted enough to compliment her prominent features. It has a faded, dark red tree in the background, and has the name of an indie band almost no one has heard of printed on the front and back corner. Baggy jeans, obviously a mens' pair, swamp her stout legs in large folds; they are excessively long and drag underneath her shoes. They are a dark wash, with plenty of rips and scratches. They hang low on her hips, an inch or two of black boxers appearing above her spiked belt. Original black chucks that seem to be holding together by a thread are the only shoes she will wear. Black and white striped elbow-high gloves are worn, with holes for her thumbs. She slumps slightely, though her head is always held high. Her peers are usually judgemental of her appearance, but she doesn't give it a second thought; she likes standing out from the crowd, and isn't afraid to be alone.
Personality: Dominique has a duo personality. The prominent side is quiet and considerate, cunning and quick-thinking. She gets mid to low A's, though it has nothing to do with her intelligence; she does not seem to put much effort in her school work. She is tactful in difficult situations, and is not easily embarrassed. The second, and probably more spicy side, is independent, strong-willed and audacious. She has strong opinions which she likes enforcing, and a determined, restless spirit. This can often get her in detention, and even more frequently, fist fights. She does not speak unless necessary, preferring simple yes or no answers. She is blunt at times, but she is always honest. She does not appreciate those who chatter endlessly, though she usually doesn’t show it. Her voice is deep for a female, and has a raspy texture. She is rough and tough externally; internal pain is either non-existent or well hidden. She tries to keep her emotions to herself; she sometimes seems to be stiff and unfeeling because of this. Her instincts are sharp, and she has an odd gift of predicting what others are thinking and feeling. She finds it hard to open up with her true feelings, as she does not have anyone she can truly trust. Though headstrong and hard-headed, she has a good sense of humor and a tongue for sarcasm. She treats everyone the same, her phlegmatic personality keeping her calm most of the time. The bold side of her behavior usually comes out when she is insulted, or if she has an opinion to argue about, or during other spontaneous events. Otherwise, she keeps to herself and quietly observes those around her.
Interests: Music is her passion. She plays the bass guitar, and practices every chance she gets; she is excessively talented, and is known to impulsively make noises from her favorite songs (guitar solos, yelling, etc.). She listens to classic rock, indie, screamo, and many other rock genres. She is also interested in art; she has a drawing pad she carries with her everywhere, containing some impressive work. She draws a lot of manga and humans, having a unique and exaggerated style. Her strongest subject is math, specifically Algebra. Her weaknesses are fudgesicles and coffee, both of which she has a constant craving for. She does not currently have a boyfriend, as she just got over a rough relationship, and is as stubborn as ever to keep her heart latched shut.
Role Playing: Dominique sat on the ground against the hard, cement wall. She had come to be alone, away from all the noise of kids moving into their rooms; she was already moved in. She had actually been a student here for a year. She held a black and white bass guitar on her lap, leaning over it as she procieded to tune it. A few moments later, she finished, and began to play. Her face seemed to light up with a certain brilliance as the musical notes hit the air. She closed her eyes, knowing the song by memory, as her spirit was moved by Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute on the Creek, originally played by Chiodos. She silently sang the song along with the tune, her lips moving quickly, though no sound came forth. This was her passion. This was what she lived for. Her eyes closed in concentration, she didn't notice any of her surroundings...
